Marsh South Africa is looking for an experienced "Senior Construction Insurance Client Executive" based in Johannesburg to support the construction portfolio across the country. The role focuses on client relationship management, insurance placement, and strategic account development. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, market partners, and Marsh colleagues to deliver tailored risk solutions for complex construction clients while supporting growth and retention across the region.

Manage a portfolio of strategic construction accounts, owning the client relationship and day-to-day service delivery.
Advise clients on construction risk, insurance structures, and market solutions across project and annual placements.
Develop and place complex insurance programs, including renewals, new business, and mid-term adjustments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders across Africa and internationally.
Coordinate internal specialists to deliver high-quality broking, claims, and advisory support.
Identify opportunities to retain, expand, and cross-sell business across the broader Marsh proposition.
Contribute to account planning, pipeline management, and business development activity.
Prepare submissions, reports, presentations, and market documentation to a high standard.
Support claims strategy and escalation to drive timely and favorable claim outcomes.
Use data and analytics to strengthen client advice and support evidence-based decisions.
Maintain pricing discipline, credit control, and high standards of operational compliance.
Collaborate with colleagues across the Construction Practice and wider Marsh network.
Share market intelligence and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
Deliver accurate financial and pipeline information within deadlines.
At least 8 years of broking, client service, underwriting, or insurance industry experience, preferably with significant exposure to construction risks.
Demonstrated experience managing major client relationships and complex insurance placements.
Strong technical understanding of construction insurance and a good working knowledge of short-term insurance products.
Proven ability to win, retain, and grow client business.
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at C-suite level.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and influence across a matrixed environment.
Experience supporting claims advocacy and resolution preferred.
Strong commercial judgment and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to strict deadlines.
A proactive, client-focused, and solutions-oriented approach.
Willingness to travel as required across Africa.
