Full Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a highly organised, results-driven and experienced Project Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, within scope and to the required quality standards.

The Project Manager will work closely with internal teams, clients, funders, service providers and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and manage projects from initiation to completion.
Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones and deliverables.
Coordinate project teams, resources and stakeholders.
Monitor project progress against agreed timelines, budgets and KPIs.
Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
Ensure that project deliverables meet required quality standards.
Manage client and stakeholder relationships.
Prepare regular project status reports and management updates.
Monitor project expenditure and resource utilisation.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, contractual requirements and applicable legislation.
Facilitate project meetings and ensure that actions are followed up.
Maintain accurate and complete project documentation.
Identify delays or deviations and implement appropriate corrective action.
Conduct project evaluations and ensure proper project close-out.
Document lessons learned and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSQualification

Diploma or Degree in Project Management, Business Management, Operations Management or a related field.
A formal Project Management qualification or certification will be an advantage.

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years' relevant project management experience.
Proven experience managing projects from planning through to successful completion.
Experience in managing budgets, resources, timelines and project deliverables.
Experience in stakeholder and client management.
Strong reporting and administrative capabilities.
Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams will be advantageous.
Experience in the education, training, skills development or SETA environment will be advantageous.

Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project management systems.
