11 Mathematics teacher Jobs and Work in Gauteng

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics, Physics and Combined Science at Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint and Cambridge IGCSE levels (Grade 8-12) in alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The role requires an enthusiastic and committed educator who can create engaging learning experiences, develop strong subject knowledge, and support learners to achieve their full potential.

Key Performance Areas

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Mathematics, Physics and Combined Science lessons.
Teach across the relevant Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint and Cambridge IGCSE levels.
Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learner needs.
Prepare learners effectively for internal and external Cambridge examinations.
Assess, monitor, and report on learner progress using Cambridge assessment tools.
Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.
Participate fully in school life, including events, staff meetings, professional development and other school initiatives.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Relevant degree in Mathematics, Physics, Science or a related field.
Relevant teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE or equivalent).
SACE registration.
Clear criminal record.
Relevant experience teaching Mathematics, Physics and/or Combined Science at High School level.
Experience teaching within a Cambridge curriculum environment would be advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital teaching tools.
A passion for learner-centred, engaging and innovative education.
