What will you do?

The Learning & Development Facilitator is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training and development initiatives that enhance employee performance and support business objectives. The role partners closely with operational leaders and stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop practical learning solutions, and ensure employees have the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve operational targets within a dynamic short-term insurance call centre environment.

The Facilitator will be responsible for practical, and relevant learning interventions for new hires and existing employees, deliver classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training programs aligned with business and operational requirements as well as creating a positive learning environment that promotes participation, knowledge retention, and application of learning and ensure all training materials remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with current business processes, products, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualification

Grade 12 / Standard 10 / NQF 4
A relevant qualification in: Short-Term Insurance, Education / Learning & Development
Accredited Facilitation Qualification (will be advantageous) .

Minimum Experience

A minimum of 5 years practical exposure to Sales Short Term Personal Lines products and processes.
A minimum of 1 years experience in coaching or facilitation experience
Short-term insurance experience in designing and facilitating blended learning solutions.

Knowledge and Skills

Plan and deliver onboarding training and upskilling interventions.
Ensure that all training delivered aligns with Miway, department and industry standards.
Update and maintain learning materials in line with business changes.
Partner with stakeholders to identify capability gaps and develop training to close them.
Assess learner competence and provide feedback for development.
Drive consistency and excellence in all training efforts.
Support internal teams with training as needed across Business Units.
Ensure trainee feedback is captured and reported for continuous improvement.
Foster trust and collaboration among stakeholders and within the team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Assist with planning, designing, creating, and executing L&D programs aligned with business objectives to support the management team, ensuring they are outcomes-based.
Conducting audits and research to identify the best training delivery methods, including face-to-face, eLearning, and blended approaches.
Facilitating end-to-end training as needed, utilising existing business resources.
Staying updated with business changes and revising learning materials accordingly.
Conducting refresher training as required.
Sending regular updates on learning interventions to relevant business stakeholders.
Facilitating the delivery of learning solutions across e-learning, microlearning, and face-to-face environments.
Adapting approved learning materials where required to meet business needs, ensuring all content changes receive Learning Design team sign-off before implementation.
Ensuring sign-off on learning materials and assessments from subject matter experts and stakeholders.
Facilitating effective and quality training sessions for the business.
Evaluating the training provided for effective and measurable outcomes.
Reviewing current training offerings to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Partnering with stakeholders on new projects and enhancements requiring training.
Reporting monthly on all training conducted to the Senior Learning Facilitator and providing handover and closeout reports to stakeholders
Working with the training coordinator to ensure appropriate training for all new employees in line with their roles.
Implementing a training schedule for all employees in agreement with business area stakeholders.

Core Competencies

Strong knowledge of Miway products (Personal Lines) and systems.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
Solid planning, coordination, and administrative capabilities.
Confident using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online learning tools.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a positive attitude and strong sense of accountability.
A collaborative mindset with a positive and professional attitude.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple training projects.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about developing people through impactful learning experiences.
