Job Advert Summary

We are looking for an IT Support Professional who can support our diverse family with all IT support-related functions at our company, based in Centurion.

We seek someone with the required skillset and fun-loving demeanour to fit into our upbeat and people centric environment.

Minimum Requirements

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications:

CompTIA A+
CompTIA Network+
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation

Experience:

Depending on the level of the role, anywhere from 5-8 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk roles, or system administration.
Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals).
Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi.
Knowledge of remote desktop applications and VPN
Familiarity with mobile device support, including iOS and Android devices.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and basic malware removal.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist end-users effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Patience and a customer-oriented approach.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.

Other Considerations

Familiarity with cloud services like Office 365,
Basic knowledge of scripting (like PowerShell or Bash) can be a plus for automation tasks.
Willingness to keep updated with the latest technological trends and advancements.
Depending on the organization, on-call availability might be required for off-hours support.

Duties and Responsibilities

End-user Support.
Resolve requests within a specified timeframe.
Troubleshooting.
Documentation of IT Policies and Procedures.
Assist and Manage both software and hardware requirements.
Continues monitoring of IT assets to align with company security requirements.
Promote best practices, and keep up to date with new technologies and trends.
