POSITION OVERVIEW : (this is not a Accounting, legal or Payroll position)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· NON negotiable – Must be able to speak, read and write Afrikaans AND English

Minimum Grade 12.
Relevant administrative experience within the Financial Advice services industry.
Experience with Glacier and/or Sanlam PRODUCTS AND Systems will be advantageous.
Understanding of investment, retirement, and risk products.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong administrative and organisational skills within the industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.

Our Bluestar is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Glacier and Sanlam Risk & Investment Administrator to join our growing financial planning practice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support relating to Glacier investments, Sanlam risk products, retirement planning solutions, client servicing, and advisor support. The role requires a strong sense of urgency, excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Investment Administration

Processing new investment applications.
Processing additional investments, switches, withdrawals, and transfers.
Assisting with Retirement Annuity, Preservation Fund, Living Annuity, and Endowment administration.
Preparing investment review documentation.
Obtaining and providing client investment statements.
Assisting with Glacier fee renegotiations.
Following up on outstanding requirements and servicing requests.
Tracking and managing investment cases through to completion.
Maintaining accurate client records and electronic filing systems.

Risk Administration

Processing risk applications, amendments, increases, reductions, and cancellations.
Obtaining quotations and preparing comparison reports.
Following up on underwriting requirements.
Liaising with clients, advisors, underwriters, and service providers.
Managing policy servicing requests and amendments.
Assisting with claims administration and follow-up.

Client and Advisor Support

Scheduling and coordinating client appointments.
Preparing client files and documentation before meetings.
Obtaining outstanding FICA and compliance documentation.
Capturing and updating client information on Sanfin and internal systems.
Assisting advisors with day-to-day administrative requirements.
Managing client follow-ups and service requests.
Providing professional telephonic and email support to clients.

Compliance and Administration

Ensuring compliance requirements are met and maintained.
Scanning, uploading, and filing client documentation.
Maintaining accurate client records.
Assisting with seminar and client event administration.
Preparing workflow and progress reports as required.
Ensuring all allocated tasks are attended to within required turnaround times.
