Full Job Description

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO WORK 3 DAYS PER WEEK. MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY. We would prefer candidates that can start immediately.

The Driver & Facilities Assistant is responsible for providing reliable transportation support for deliveries, collections, errands, and staff transport where required, while also taking ownership of the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of company vehicles, facilities, and office infrastructure.

The incumbent will proactively identify, report, and assist in resolving maintenance-related issues before they impact business operations. This role requires a hands-on, responsible, and solutions-driven individual who takes pride in maintaining company assets, ensuring operational efficiency, and creating a safe and well-maintained working environment.

The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership, with the ability to work independently, identify problems, and drive solutions with minimal supervision.

· Minimum of 3 years' driving experience.

· Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.

· Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.

· Experience in facilities, maintenance, handyman, or operational support functions will be advantageous.

· Must possess strong English communication skills and be capable of interacting professionally with employees, customers, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders at all levels.

· Perform deliveries, collections, banking, and errands as required.

· Ensure the safe and timely transportation of documents, equipment, supplies, and company personnel where required.

· Conduct daily and weekly inspections of company vehicles, including tyres, lights, fluids, cleanliness, licensing, and roadworthiness.

· Ensure company vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe, and presentable condition at all times.

· Coordinate vehicle servicing, licensing, repairs, and maintenance requirements.

· Conduct regular inspections of office facilities and identify maintenance, repair, safety, and housekeeping requirements.

· Proactively identify issues requiring attention and ensure they are reported and resolved timeously.

· Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks where appropriate.

· Liaise with service providers and contractors regarding maintenance and repair work.

· Follow up on maintenance requests to ensure completion and quality of work.

· Assist with office setup, movement of furniture, equipment installations, and facilities-related projects.

· Ensure office equipment, furniture, lighting, air-conditioning, plumbing, and general facilities are maintained in good working order.

· Maintain delivery registers, vehicle logbooks, and maintenance records.

· Report any vehicle, equipment, or facilities issues promptly to management.

· Support the office team with ad hoc operational and administrative tasks as required.

· Continuously look for opportunities to improve the office environment, facilities, and operational efficiency.

· Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, customer service, and company representation when interacting with staff, customers, suppliers, and service providers

Pay: R8 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
