About the role:

The Workshop Assistant key function is to handle day to day task such as equipment handling, maintenance and assisting in inventory management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure all tools, equipment, and machinery are cleaned, stored, and maintained in good working condition.
Assisting senior technicians in repair and maintenance tasks, providing them with the necessary tools and components.
Keeping track of all inventory used and needed, ensuring that orders are placed to avoid shortages
Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that the workshop remains a safe environment for all staff.
Assisting with paperwork, documentation, and communication necessary for smooth workshop execution
Assisting in general mechanical work, including vehicle repairs, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding under the guidance of senior technicians.
Helping to keep the repair shop/workshop clean, organized, and free from hazards at all times.
Assisting with general driving duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric Certified
2-3 years’ experience in Fleet
Mechanical Knowledge will be advantageous
Driver’s License Code 08
Detail-oriented/ Attention to detail.
