Full Job Description

Job Purpose:

Source, evaluate and coordinate material quotations and incorporate estimates into the bill of quantities as per the bid document or client requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Study, analyse and identify Tender Document contents.

· Familiarise and understand contractual terms and conditions for tender.

· Source, evaluate and co-ordinate sub-contractor and material quotations.

· Source estimates and proposals for stipulated price, design-build, and construction projects.

· Prepare and provide full bid / priced Bill of Quantities for Tenders. Liaise and correspond with relevant persons.

· Identify any potential risks or clarifications and discuss with the relevant persons.

· Arrange post tender and tender hand over meetings with relevant persons.

· Study all quotations considering all clarifications. Negotiate to ensure competitive pricing received.

· Revise estimates and implement required changes.

· Ensure tender bids meet the Clients format and standards.

· Formulate cost break down estimates and for project progress.

· Build & maintain business relationships with Clients, sub-contractors & suppliers.

· Build and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costing.

· Study, analyse and identify Tender Document contents to ensure clarity and understanding of all requirements, specifications, and drawings within the Tender Document.

· Familiarize and understand contractual terms and conditions for tender.

· Manage multiple tenders.

· Source, evaluate and co-ordinate sub-contractor and material quotations, and ensure all criteria and qualifications are met within the scope of work as per the Tender Document.

· Source accurate estimates and proposals timeously for stipulated price, design-build, and construct projects.

· Prepare and provide full bid / priced Bill of Quantities for Tenders. Liaise and correspond with relevant persons.

· Attend tender meeting as and when required.

· Arrange post tender and tender hand over meetings with relevant persons and ensure full and correct documentation is handed to all relevant parties.

· Study all quotations considering all clarifications. negotiate to ensure competitive pricing received.

· Ensure tender bids meet the Clients format and standards.

· Build and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costing.

· Formulate cost break down estimates and for project progress.

· Working closely with the Tender Administrator to ensure timeous finalisation of Tender Bid is monitored.

Pay: R7 589,39 - R43 803,21 per month
