Overall Job Purpose:
To administer and coordinate the end-to-end bursary lifecycle in accordance with the institution's policies, donor agreements, and regulatory requirements, ensuring audit-ready reports and documents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Bursary Application/Selection Process Management
Ensure efficient, timely, and accurate administration of bursary application processes. This includes but is not limited to:

Advertising, communication and application tracking.

Verifying completeness and accuracy of bursary applications and supporting documents.

Facilitating bursary selection and allocation processes in collaboration with committees and stakeholders.
- Preparing bursary award documentation and ensuring acceptance requirements are completed.
- Coordinating bursary renewals, terminations, suspensions, and amendments.
- Ensuring timely processing of tuition allocations, allowances, and related financial transactions.
- Supporting annual bursary planning cycles and funding allocation exercises.
Communication, Student Outreach and Onboarding

Drive effective communication and maximise student engagement.

Serve as a primary contact for bursary-related student enquiries.
- Provide guidance on bursary eligibility, application procedures, and funding conditions.

Coordinate an effective onboarding session with bursary students.
Record Management & Data Accuracy
- Maintain accurate bursary records, databases, contacts, and student funding records in accordance with institutional records management policies.

Reconcile bursary allocations against student accounts and sponsor funding

Compile audit-ready documentation and support governance and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Liaison and Responsiveness

Build and maintain positive sponsor and donor relationships and databases.

Liaise with sponsors, donors, academic departments, and service providers.

Provide prompt and professional responses to queries.

Prepare stakeholder reports as required.
Minimum Educational Requirement:
- Diploma or Degree in Administration, Business Management, or a related field

Experience working with application systems or databases
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Work Requirement:
-
2 - 4 years’ experience in administration, preferably within an education or bursary environment.
