Cool Bananas is looking for a highly organised and motivated Café Manager to plan and oversee daily operations, lead an enthusiastic team, and ensure our customers enjoy the Cool Bananas experience.
As a Café Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all café operations, including:
Daily Operations & Store Presentation
· Opening and closing the store at scheduled times (06h00 opening, 16h00 closing).
· Ensuring the full café layout is perfectly set before opening: signage, plants, tables, chairs, branding, and décor.
· Monitoring general equipment maintenance and cleanliness; report issues to the Owner and track progress until resolved.
Staff Management
· Review staff rosters and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
· Immediately report staff absences to the Owner.
· Allocate daily prep work and cleaning duties.
· Ensure staff wear the correct Cool Bananas uniform and maintain professional hygiene and appearance.
Stock, Food Quality & Compliance
· Maintain accurate food preparation standards in line with recipe manuals.
· Conduct daily quality and quantity checks on all stock and menu items.
· Oversee stock rotation for perishable and dry goods.
· Manage packaging and cleaning materials, placing weekly Wednesday orders to ensure adequate stock levels.
Customer Experience
· Uphold exceptional customer service standards at all times.
· Ensure the café environment is clean, welcoming, and consistent with brand expectations.
Reporting & Administration
· Complete and submit the Weekly Count Sheet to Head Office by 16h30 as requested.
· Attend the weekly management meeting every Saturday from 07h00–09h00.
· Participate in cost‑saving initiatives, value analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
