Full Job Description

A Site Agent in construction acts as the primary on-ground manager, serving as the critical link between senior project management and the physical site. They ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality specifications.

THE PRIMARY DUTIES ARE CATEGORIZED INTO CORE AREAS:

On-Site Operations & Production

Daily Management: Directing daily operations, setting production targets, and overseeing the sequence of construction programs.
Quality Control: Ensuring all workmanship strictly adheres to architectural designs, method statements, and project specifications.
Troubleshooting: Resolving on-site technical issues and unforeseen construction problems as they arise.

Financial & Commercial Management

Cost Control: Monitoring expenditures, managing resources effectively, and operating within prescribed budgets.
Resource Allocation: Overseeing procurement schedules and coordinating with buyers/suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time.
Revenue Administration: Compiling and submitting monthly payment applications, progress certificates, and variation orders.

Leadership & Coordination

Team Supervision: Managing site foremen, engineers, and general laborers while conducting routine progress briefings.
Subcontractor Management: Working with external contractors to coordinate workflows, enforce quality standards, and avoid project delays.
Stakeholder Relations: Liaising with clients, architects, and the principal contract manager.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Compliance: Ensuring the site fully complies with local health and safety legislation and regulations.
Monitoring: Implementing safety protocols, managing on-site SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) staff, and ensuring proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn.
Risk Mitigation: Conducting routine safety inspections and taking immediate corrective action on hazards.

Documentation & Reporting

Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate site records, compiling daily reports, and taking minutes in site meetings.
Progress Tracking: Updating progress reports for both internal management and external clients

Pay: From R60 000,00 per month

Work Location: In person
