Skills & Employment Equity Consultant

Job Purpose

The Skills & Employment Equity Consultant is responsible for supporting clients with Skills Development, Employment Equity and Transformation compliance. The role ensures organisations meet legislative requirements, maintain accurate records, prepare statutory submissions, and implement practical transformation initiatives that support business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12)
Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field
3-5 years' experience as a Skills Development Facilitator (SDF)
1-2 years' Employment Equity experience
Experience with Employment Equity submissions and Skills Development compliance
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Key Responsibilities

Transformation Consulting

Develop transformation strategies aligned to client objectives.
Analyse organisational data and identify transformation opportunities.
Support clients in improving their B-BBEE performance.
Facilitate transformation workshops and stakeholder engagements.

Skills Development

Conduct skills gap analyses.
Develop Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and Annual Training Reports (ATRs).
Advise clients on Skills Development legislation and B-BBEE requirements.
Coordinate training initiatives and monitor implementation.
Liaise with training providers and relevant stakeholders.

Employment Equity

Conduct Employment Equity analyses.
Develop Employment Equity Plans.
Facilitate Employment Equity Committee meetings.
Prepare and submit Employment Equity reports (EEA2 and EEA4).
Maintain compliant Employment Equity files.
Assist clients with Department of Employment and Labour submissions.
Obtain Employment Equity Compliance Certificates where applicable.

Compliance & Reporting

Maintain client compliance records.
Conduct quarterly Employment Equity and Skills Development reviews.
Prepare compliance reports and recommendations.
Advise clients on legislative requirements and best practices.
Ensure all client documentation is accurate and audit-ready.

Change Management

Support clients through organisational transformation initiatives.
Facilitate communication and stakeholder engagement.
Assist with employee awareness and change management activities.

Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Provide professional advice and ongoing support.
Respond to client queries promptly.
Ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction.
