Job Purpose
All Services GQ is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team specializing in painting, roofing, waterproofing, and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, measuring quantities, procuring materials, and ensuring projects are completed within budget while maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating and Tendering
Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for painting, roofing, waterproofing, and maintenance projects.
Measure quantities from drawings, site inspections, and specifications.
Compile tender documents and pricing schedules.
Source and obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Review tender requirements and identify project risks.
Cost Management
Monitor project costs and budgets throughout project execution.
Track material, labour, and subcontractor costs.
Prepare cost reports and forecasts for management.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Project Administration
Prepare and submit payment claims and invoices.
Assess and manage variations and additional work.
Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Assist with contract administration and compliance requirements.
Procurement
Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure materials are ordered and delivered according to project schedules.
Site Coordination
Conduct site visits to verify measurements and assess project requirements.
Liaise with project managers, supervisors, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Assist in resolving commercial and contractual issues during project execution.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction, roofing, painting, or waterproofing industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and estimating software.
Valid driver's licence.
