Grow, Innovate, And Succeed! We have an incredible opportunity for a Process Engineer at NBL Rosslyn Snacks in Rosslyn, Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for all process engineering requirements on Operational and Improvement projects. We are looking for an energetic individual who enjoys a fast-paced, team – oriented environment, likes to be challenged, and values the opportunity and experience.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: Technical and Quality Manager
Key Areas of Impact:
- Support the development and validation of analytical and operating procedures.

Lead continuous and process improvement initiatives for the site.

Equipment commissioning and compilation of technical commissioning reports as handover dossier.
-
Produce process instructions (entailing master process parameters and process centre-lining).

Prepare mass and energy balance and process specification sheets.
-
Review raw materials, process and product specifications.
-
Actively support manufacturing in troubleshooting (including taking part in quality and engineering RCAs).

Participate in validation and verification of processes and operating procedures.
-
Apply problem solving techniques in addressing problems.
-
Recommend, implement and drive process improvements.

Participate in SHE initiatives
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Food Manufacturing industry.

Previous experience or exposure to the following technologies is an advantage: continuous frying operation, extrusion and convective dryers, tortilla processing, effluent plant, slurry application processes, shell and tube heat exchangers, steam generation.

Process Engineering: P&IDs, processing and process control, heat transfer, sound knowledge of mass and energy balance, data analysis and statistics, BOM and standard output reviews, Scada, integrity verifications and water reticulation studies.
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

A completed Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a B Tech Honours in Chemical Engineering.
