Greenfield Resources is looking for a Senior Architect to join our Project Delivery team and help deliver high-quality architectural solutions that create lasting value for our clients and the communities they serve.

Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Architect, you will provide architectural leadership across multiple projects while ensuring design excellence, technical compliance, and successful project delivery. You will oversee projects from feasibility and concept design through documentation, procurement support, construction, and project close-out.
Working closely with clients, engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers, and other built environment professionals, you will lead multidisciplinary design coordination, manage project risks, and ensure that deliverables are completed on schedule and within agreed quality standards. You will review architectural documentation, guide project teams, mentor junior architects and technologists, and contribute to business development opportunities by building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for future work.
Day in the Life
Your day begins by reviewing project priorities with the project delivery team before attending a coordination meeting with engineers and other consultants. You lead discussions on design development, resolve technical challenges, and ensure architectural solutions align with client objectives, applicable regulations, and project budgets.
Throughout the day, you review drawings, specifications, and consultant deliverables to maintain quality and consistency across projects. You provide technical guidance to architects and architectural technologists, supporting their professional development while ensuring deadlines are achieved.
You also meet with clients to present design proposals, discuss project progress, and provide strategic advice that supports informed decision-making. Depending on the project stage, you may conduct site visits, respond to contractor queries, review construction progress, or assess proposed design changes to ensure the original design intent is maintained.
Your role combines technical expertise, leadership, and client engagement to deliver successful architectural outcomes while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Who You Are
You are an experienced architectural professional who combines technical excellence with strong leadership and communication skills. You are comfortable managing multiple projects, building trusted client relationships, and guiding multidisciplinary teams toward successful outcomes.
You will bring:
- Registration as a Professional Architect (PrArch) with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
- 8–10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in architectural design and project delivery within the built environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction.
- Strong knowledge of South African building regulations, standards, documentation, and contract administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
