We are a leading technology company specialising in Point of Sale (POS) solutions for the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and hospitality industry. Our software and systems are used by restaurant brands across South Africa and internationally.
We are looking for a Menu Designer / Menu Configuration Specialist to join our team in Midrand. This is a detail-focused role that combines technical data management, menu configuration and customer interaction.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration and ongoing maintenance of restaurant menus within our Point of Sale application.
You will work closely with our internal teams as well as brand representatives from our customers to ensure that menus are accurately configured, tested and deployed across restaurants throughout South Africa and international markets.
This role requires someone who is highly organised, professional and comfortable working with detailed information and large volumes of data.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update and maintain menus within our Point of Sale application.
- Configure menu items, modifiers, pricing, meal deals, promotions and other menu-related functionality.
- Maintain and update menus across multiple restaurant brands and locations.
- Ensure menu changes are accurately implemented and thoroughly checked before deployment.
- Work with customer brand representatives to understand and implement menu requirements.
- Liaise professionally with customers and explain menu structures and configuration requirements.
- Populate and maintain detailed menu matrixes.
- Present and explain menu matrixes to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Work extensively with Microsoft Excel to manipulate, validate and manage menu data.
- Use Excel formulas and macros to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve menu and data-related issues.
- Assist with testing new menus and menu changes before they are deployed nationally or internationally.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of menu changes.
- Work closely with technical, support and implementation teams to ensure successful menu rollouts.
- Manage multiple menu projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Excel formulas and macros.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good numerical and analytical ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Previous experience in the Point of Sale / restaurant technology industry.
- Experience working with restaurant menus or menu management systems.
- Experience with menu matrixes or structured product databases.
- Experience dealing directly with customers or corporate brand representatives.
- Knowledge of the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or hospitality industry.
- Experience with advanced Excel functions, VBA or spreadsheet automation.
