Full Job Description

To provide accurate pharmaceutical care services within the legal scope of practice under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, performing day-to-day dispensary administration to ensure efficient pharmacy operations. Clicks Group +1Key Responsibilities

Dispensing & Script Processing: Receiving scripts, capturing patient information, interpreting scripts, and filling medications under supervision.
Customer Service: Advising patients on OTC (over-the-counter) medication, interacting with customers, and providing general health advice.
Inventory Control: Ordering, receiving, and packing stock, managing inventory records, and handling stock takes (including checking for expired/damaged items).
Administration: Maintaining patient profiles, processing medical aid claims, and updating script tracking reports.
Compliance: Adhering to SAPC and Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) standards.

Minimum Requirements

Qualification: Qualified Basic or Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant Certificate.
Registration: Current, active registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
Experience: Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy environment is highly advantageous.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., Unisolv), and MS Office.
Language: Strong proficiency in English, with a second language often preferred.
