The German International School Cape Town is looking to employ a teacher, for the subject Mathematics, grade 5 – 7 for the NSC IEB English stream classes.

We are looking for a passionate Mathematics teacher who:
- Relevant teaching qualification, preferably a degree or postgraduate level with a specialisation in Mathematics. If holding an international qualification, all required SAQA evaluation certificates must be in order.
- Has min. 5 years of teaching experience in the subject Mathematics.
- A clear criminal clearance.
- SACE registration.
- Extensive experience with the IEB assessment system.
- A high level of computer literacy using modern technology teaching methods.
- A passion for teaching learners in the GET phase.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- South African citizenship or permanent residency or a valid work permit.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Mathematics lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners and learning needs.
- Develop clear lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessments that support strong mathematical understanding and allow for accurate tracking of learner progress to guide future instruction.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all learners are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity, and resilience in Mathematics.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing development and review of the mathematics curriculum to ensure teaching remains relevant, effective, and responsive to learner needs.
