Company based in Kuils River, Western Cape, is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Millwright / Fitter & Turner to join their manufacturing team.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on technical position for an artisan who enjoys working on the
tools and takes pride in building, repairing, servicing, and maintaining production machinery and equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Millwright and/or Fitter & Turner.
- Minimum 15 - 20 years' practical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with extensive fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with:
- Industrial motors
- Pumps
- Gearboxes
- Agitators
- Mixers
- Conveying systems
- Production machinery
- Ability to assemble and rebuild industrial reactors and process equipment.
- Experience in a chemical, resin, paint, coatings, process manufacturing, or related production environment will be highly advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair reactors used in resin and paint manufacturing
- Assemble and fit motors, pumps, gearboxes, agitators, and related equipment
- Perform stainless steel spot welding and fabrication work as required
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns
- Strip, inspect, refurbish, and rebuild machinery and equipment
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently
- Assist with plant upgrades, modifications, and equipment installations
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping
