This is a new position in the company and we are looking for a detail-driven Junior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to support our senior managers. This role is suited to someone who is technically competent, numerically strong, computer literate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

You must be able to read electrical drawings, understand site conditions, and work with measurable financial data. You need to be able to manage several projects at a time and not just one big project.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from electrical drawings and specifications
Assist with compiling tenders, bills of quantities, and cost estimates
Obtain and negotiate supplier pricing
Monitor project costs and assist with budget control
Evaluate claims and negotiate rates where required
Attend site visits to verify measurements, progress, and variation orders
Compile cost reports, financial summaries, and supporting documentation

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Bachelor’s Degree, BTech, or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years experience in Quantity Surveying in construction or electrical projects
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
Valid driver’s license
Professional communication skills (email and telephone)

What You Can Expect

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From R10 000,00 per month
