ABOUT THE ROLE
AltWork is a fast-scaling BPO where recruitment delivery is the core product, not a back-office function. We're looking for a Recruitment Agency Manager who sources, places and fills roles at pace — and who also brings solid core HR and workforce capability.
You will own our SA and offshore/remote recruitment drives end-to-end across the Group's operating entities in education, property and corporate. Each entity lead acts as your internal "employer": you take the brief, source and engage candidates, and fill the role at pace and to quality.
This is a recruitment-led leadership role. If you come from an agency, RPO or high-volume staffing background and you live by fill rate and time-to-hire, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own SA and offshore/remote recruitment drives end-to-end; convert each hiring brief into a filled placement at pace.
- Build and maintain live candidate pipelines and talent pools through proactive sourcing, headhunting and database work — not post-and-pray.
- Run the full cycle: briefing, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer and close.
- Act as the recruitment "account manager" to each entity lead — understand the role, sell it, fill it.
- Own time-to-hire, fill rate and quality-of-hire as the primary measures of success.
- Carry core HR for the SA workforce: onboarding, employee relations, performance, compliance (BCEA, POPIA) and policy.
- Line-manage and develop a junior HR/recruitment resource.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (ESSENTIAL)
- A recruitment-agency background — placing candidates with employers/clients and filling roles at pace and volume.
- A proven track record owning fill rate, time-to-hire and pipeline targets.
- Proactive sourcing skills (LinkedIn, databases, headhunting) — you hunt candidates, you don't wait for applications.
- Core HR / workforce experience: employee relations, compliance, onboarding and performance.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven, client-facing environment and is genuinely output- and results-driven.
- AI-literate and open to AI-first recruitment tools and tracking.
ADVANTAGEOUS
- BPO / RPO / staffing-agency management experience.
- SA and offshore/remote recruitment delivery experience.
- UK-facing or international recruitment exposure.
- A relevant HR or recruitment qualification.
This is a proactive, recruitment-focused role rather than a traditional HR administration position. We are seeking someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, actively managing recruitment activity and responding effectively to client needs and hiring demands.

- Type: Permanent, full-time. Six-month probation.
- Remuneration: Competitive — based on experience.
