Are you motivated and committed to your career? Midstream Electrical Supplies is seeking an Electrical Assistant in the Electrical Department to perform installations and maintenance on the MES Electrical LT Reticulation network and allocated buildings.
Minimum Requirements
· Valid Matric Certificate or NQF 3
· Knowledge of reticulation networks, switching and insulation procedures
· Computer Literacy (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
· 1 year’s relevant experience
· Valid Code 8/10 driver’s license (advantage)

Job Specification
· Assist with installations of new electrical meters, circuit breakers, surge arrestors, contractors, new LM devices, new plugs, switch sockets, lights, links and holders under floor heating devices
· Trenching for new installations
· Assist with new Installations on streetlight networks
· Assist with installation of new LM devices
· Assist with maintenance on all mini subs, kiosks, distribution boards, lights in buildings and street lights
· Replace damaged kiosks
· Assist with balancing loads on mini subs, kiosks, distribution boards and street lights
· Assist with repairing faulty equipment
· Reroute circuits and cables
· Assist with fault finding on break downs
· Assist with repairing all faults
· Keep tools and equipment in good condition
· Conduct toolbox inspection
· Clean company vehicle
· Conduct vehicle inspection
· Completion of Job Cards
· Stock requestion and record keeping
