Scope of Work – Waterproofing Applicator
The Waterproofing Applicator is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of waterproofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Duties include:
- Prepare all surfaces by cleaning, grinding, removing failed waterproofing, and applying primers where required.
- Install 4mm torch-on waterproofing membranes to roofs, balconies, box gutters, parapet walls, retaining walls, and other waterproofing applications.
- Perform waterproofing using liquid-applied systems, including acrylic waterproofing coatings, polyurethane waterproofing, cementitious waterproofing, and rubber-based waterproofing systems.
- Apply waterproofing paints and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or airless spray equipment.
- Seal joints, cracks, flashings, penetrations, outlets, and expansion joints using the appropriate sealants and waterproofing materials.
- Carry out leak detection assistance and diagnose waterproofing failures where required.
- Perform minor concrete, plaster, and screed repairs necessary for waterproofing installations.
- Safely operate gas torches, grinders, pressure washers, airless spray equipment, and other waterproofing tools.
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, company quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, protecting client property throughout the project.
- Report material requirements, defects, and site issues to the Site Supervisor.
- Assist with related roofing, painting, and maintenance tasks when required.
- Ensure all waterproofing installations are completed to a high standard to minimise future water ingress and maximise system longevity.
Pay: R8 000,00 - R12 000,00 per month
