About the Role We are a fast-growing retail and e-commerce business specializing in power tools, hardware, and home equipment. We manage a massive inventory of over 15,000 SKUs and dispatch high volumes of stock daily. We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented Warehouse Picker & Packer to join our team.
You will be on the front lines of our fulfillment process, ensuring that individual customer orders and bulk e-commerce platform shipments (such as Takealot and Amazon) are picked accurately, packed securely, and dispatched on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate Order Picking: Navigate the warehouse to pick items swiftly and accurately according to printed or digital pick slips, paying close attention to specific product codes and barcodes among thousands of similar SKUs.
- Secure Packing: Pack industrial tools, hardware, and accessories securely to prevent damage during transit, following strict packaging guidelines for different courier services.
- E-commerce Fulfillment: Prepare large shipment consignments for platforms like Takealot and Amazon, ensuring all labeling, boxing, and routing requirements meet their strict compliance standards.
- Dispatch Preparation: Attach correct shipping labels, scan barcodes, and stage packed boxes in the designated outbound zones for courier collection.
- Stock Management: Assist with regular stocktakes, cycle counts, and unloading incoming supplier deliveries (e.g., from brands like Bosch, Makita, and Ingco).
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep workstations, aisles, and packing areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: 1–2 years of previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or e-commerce fulfillment environment.
- Physical Fitness: The role requires standing for long periods and the physical ability to safely lift and move heavy boxes containing power tools and hardware.
- E-commerce Knowledge: Previous experience packing and labeling for Takealot, Amazon, or major courier networks is highly advantageous.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy is required. You must be able to spot the difference between highly similar part numbers and product variants.
- Language & Literacy: Must be able to read and understand pick slips, product labels, and courier waybills clearly.
- Attributes: Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and capable of keeping up with high daily order targets, especially during peak retail seasons.
Pay: R6 000,00 - R7 000,00 per month
