About the Role
We are looking for a Warehouse Storeman to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within the warehouse. This role works closely with the Flavors, Fragrances, and Cosmetic Ingredients teams to support operational efficiency and maintain high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with internal departments to review and coordinate expected deliveries.
- Receive incoming materials, including local deliveries, imported goods, non-stock items, customer returns, sea freight containers, and air freight consignments.
- Ensure the safe, accurate, and timely unloading and receipt of all consignments.
- Complete all receiving documentation and resolve receiving-related queries.
- Ensure materials are correctly labelled and moved safely from the receiving area to the designated storage location.
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements throughout all warehouse operations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Process and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time.
- Maintain and manage VL10 deliveries and shipping activities.
- Monitor and manage stock levels within storage bays.
- Pick and issue materials to production according to operational requirements.
- Support inventory accuracy through proper stock handling and storage practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
About you
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience using SAP within a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Minimum Grade 12 / High School Diploma.
- A Warehouse or Logistics Diploma will be considered an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in inventory management and documentation.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety-conscious mindset with a strong understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.
- Team player with effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service.
