Full Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production, filling, packaging, quality control, and documentation of products while ensuring compliance with ISO quality standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Manufacture products according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Conduct routine quality control checks and record results accurately.
Complete batch records, production logs, and quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with ISO quality management systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles.
Perform stock counts and assist with inventory control.
Monitor product quality throughout the production process and report any deviations immediately.
Assist with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and calibration activities.
Participate in internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures at all times.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).
Previous experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, food production, or quality-controlled environment.
Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
Experience with quality control procedures and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and able to perform production-related tasks.

Advantageous Qualifications & Experience

Qualification in Production, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Preferred.
Experience working in an ISO 13485, ISO 9001, pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare manufacturing environment.
Experience with batch manufacturing records and traceability systems.
Knowledge of quality control testing and inspection procedures.
