Quantity Surveyor – Roofing

Morgner Roofing is a leading roofing contractor specialising in new roofing installations, roof replacements, roof repairs, and large-scale commercial and residential roofing projects. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship, professionalism, and customer service, we are looking for a driven and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Cape Town.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in the roofing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates and tenders, monitoring budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and respected company working on a variety of roofing projects across the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for roofing projects

Conduct quantity take-offs and material calculations

Manage procurement and supplier pricing

Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers

Handle project variations, claims, and contract administration

Prepare project financial reports and forecasts

Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications

Analyse market trends and material pricing to optimise project costing

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the roofing industry

Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and construction methods

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software

AutoCAD experience will be advantageous

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

Additional Requirements

Valid driver’s licence

Ability to travel to project sites when required

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

High level of attention to detail
