We’re Hiring: Government Tender Specialist
Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing tender processes? We are looking for a proactive Government Tender Specialist to support our Business Development and Sales team by identifying, coordinating, and managing tender opportunities within the hospitality, catering, and facilities management sector.
JOB OVERVIEW
- Support the Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Sales Department by managing administrative processes related to tender opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Source and track government, corporate, educational (schools), and private sector tenders.
- Maintain records, coordinate documentation, and ensure all submissions are completed accurately, efficiently, and within required deadlines.
- Monitor and track government tenders while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure the effective identification, administration, and coordination of government tender opportunities, while providing administrative support to the Sales team to enhance business development and revenue growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Search for and identify relevant government and private sector tender opportunities daily.
- Maintain and regularly update the tender database, ensuring all information is accurate and current.
- Assist BDMs with compiling, preparing, and submitting tender documentation.
- Ensure all tender submissions meet compliance requirements and deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather required documents and information for tender submissions.
- Track submitted tenders and maintain records of outcomes, feedback, and follow-ups.
- Prepare reports on tender activity, success rates, and pipeline status.
- Provide general administrative support to the Sales Department.
- Ensure proper filing and record keeping of all tender-related documentation.
- Monitor tender portals, bulletins, and relevant platforms for new opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tender administration, tender coordination, or a similar role.
- Proven knowledge of government tender processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience working within the hospitality, catering, facilities management, or related industry will be advantageous.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
