JOB SPECIFICATION – BRANCH ADMINISTRATOR
Workerslife Direct is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Workerslife Group of Companies - An employment opportunity as a Branch Administrator currently exists within Workerslife Direct in the Upington Branch.
1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide information and administrative support to the Branch, stake holders and
prospective customers. This will include all administrative, systems and clerical/secretarial support. This will involve developing and maintaining systems for the efficient running of the Branch.
2. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
- Diploma and/or relevant qualifications.
- Business Management, Marketing, or related tertiary qualification advantageous
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in Financial services
- Clear ITC
- Clear criminal record
- RE 5 Qualification (a must)
- Proven experience in administrative functions
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge in Short and Long Term insurance
- Financial advice and intermediary services.

- Stakeholder Liaison: Ability to act as a reliable bridge between financial advisers, compliance officers, and head office.

- Attention to Detail: Absolute accuracy under pressure when dealing with financial transactions and legal contracts.
- Time Management: Ability to multi-task, prioritize high-value tasks, and meet strict regulatory deadlines.
4. CONTENT OF THE JOB
- To provide secretarial support and a range of administrative tasks
- Screening telephone calls and handling enquiries
- Organising the Branch Manager’s diary and dealing with letters and emails
- Arranging of all the Branch meetings and taking minutes in those meetings
- Receiving and looking after the Branch visitors and attending to all their queries
- Dealing with accounts and the Budget
- Assist the Regional Manager in giving support to sales representatives.
- HR Assistance: Track staff attendance, process leave forms, and coordinate local onboarding for new hires.
