Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Solid knowlegde on heavy-duty vehicle trucks and trailers
Ability to work independently
Excellent decision making in high-pressure situations.
Willingness to work on weekends.
Valid driver's license
Must reside in MIDDELBURG (or willing to relocate)
Responsibilities
Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and emergencies
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air system faults
Carry out on-site repairs to minimise downtime
Maintain and repair side tipper hydraulic systems, including cylinders and hoses
Conduct inspections and basic preventative maintenance when required
Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and roadworthiness regulations
Complete job cards and report on breakdown causes and repairs performed
Communicate effectively with drivers, controllers, and workshop staff

Ability to commute/relocate:

Middelburg, Mpumalanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
