We are looking for a hands-on and driven Store Manager to lead our store operations and help grow our business.

Position Overview

As Store Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the supermarket. This includes managing staff, overseeing stock, driving sales, and ensuring our customers receive outstanding service. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
Supervise and lead a small team, including scheduling, training, and performance management
Maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation
Oversee stock ordering, receiving, and inventory control
Implement merchandising strategies to maximise sales
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Address customer queries and resolve issues effectively
Identify opportunities to improve sales and reduce costs

Requirements

Proven experience in retail, preferably in a supermarket or grocery environment
Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
Strong leadership and people management skills
Good understanding of stock control and merchandising
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Excellent numeracy and computer literacy skills (POS systems, stock systems, Excel)
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
