Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
Ensure food is presented attractively and served according to company standards.
Provide excellent customer service to clients and customers.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food service and dining areas.
Assist with setting up and clearing service stations, dining areas, and functions.
Refill food displays, beverages, and condiments as required.
Follow food safety, health, and safety regulations at all times.
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed.
Assist with stock rotation and maintaining service area supplies.
Ensure a welcoming and professional dining environment for customers.
To carry out any reasonable request by management.
To report and where possible take action when faced with customer and client complaints or compliments.
To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary.
Performs related work as assigned.
May be required to assist with any other duties that may be outside scope of responsibility

Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric.
1 - 2 years working experience in a food service, catering, hospitality, or customer service environment will be advantageous.
Culinary qualification would be advantageous.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
Willingness to work flexible shifts when required.
