MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Quality Controller requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to ensure MRO materials and processes meet company and industry quality standards. Key responsibilities include performing quality control checks, implementing quality improvement plans, managing documentation, conducting internal audits and supplier audits, training staff, and maintaining supplier relationships to support efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

- N2 or N3 Engineering
- Trade Specific Artisan (Red Seal)
- 2-5 Years’ Experience in a Maintenance Environment as an Artisan
- Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably in MRO or manufacturing
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Quality Control & Assurance:
- Perform quality inspections and checks on MRO items to identify defects
- Develop and implement quality control policies and procedures for MRO processes
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
- Check all new item requests for accuracy and code and load them onto the ERP system
- Ensure accuracy of all MRO stock specifications for new and existing items
- Participate in all MRO stock takes
Process Improvement:
- Monitor MRO processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with teams to resolve quality issues and implement effective solutions
- Contribute to a quality culture focused on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Take and attach photos to all stocked spares
Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain quality-related documentation and records for MRO activities
- Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to management
Supplier & Customer Focus:
- Collaborate with MRO suppliers to ensure the quality and timeliness of materials
- Manage customer complaints related to MRO quality and ensure customer satisfaction
- Conduct supplier audits
- Raise and handle supplier non-conformances
Training & Compliance:
- Train staff on quality control processes and best practices within MRO
- Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO) and internal policies
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and potentially quality management software
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS)
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO)
Analytical & Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyse statistical data and identify areas for improvement
Communication & Interpersonal:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

- Must have own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
- Will be expected to occasionally work after hours
- Must be physically capable of carrying heavy loads, climbing up and down stairs and ladders, going into the production facilities to look at parts, spending a lot of time standing and walking.
