Job Advertisement: Accounts Administrator

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. If you’re passionate about numbers, organized to the core, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role could be your next big move.

Key Responsibilities

Process supplier and customer invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
Reconcile supplier statements to creditor ledger accounts.
Identify and resolve discrepancies, follow up on outstanding invoices and credit notes.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely resolution of queries.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date creditor records.
Capture payments, receipts, and journal entries on the accounting system.
Assist with bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
Assist with month-end closing processes.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams regarding payment queries.
Registering and overseeing of claims/disputes until final closure
Provide administrative support to the finance and accounting departments.

Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric (Finance or Accounting diploma preferred).
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance admin role.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Strong controls and checklists to ensure monitoring, maintenance and completion of required tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R10 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
