Full Job Description

The Poetry team is currently searching for a Buyer’s Assistant to assist the buyers with product / sample management and administrative duties across the homeware portfolio. The successful candidate should be a problem solver, organized, self-motivated, thrive under pressure, and have a keen eye for detail and design.

The perfect candidate will be someone who is dynamic, has a keen eye for design, appreciates beauty and innovation, has great flare, is knowledgeable and a learner at heart and is pro-active in all aspects of the job.

Role and Responsibilities:

Provide full time, comprehensive administrative support to buyers in all activities & product categories including fit sessions, range build, meetings, email queries and product briefs.
Sample room and sample rail management
Take ownership of samples for sample sale and assist with Leisure sample sale set-up
Arrange for samples to be sent to the E-comm team for photography ahead of the product launch date.
Ensure that all products submitted to photography are uploaded onto the product image library.
Assist with supplying product information for marketing and visual merchandising briefs
Assist with the compiling of store reports and buyers Briefs
Provide marketing with product information after seasonal shoots & prep samples for shoots
Create a techpack framework on PLM for all seasonal styles
Management of product approvals, sending approvals to suppliers ex lab dip approvals
Set-up, prep and assist in meetings

Requirements:

Matric / Gr12
Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
Candidates who have 1- 2 years experience in a similar role will be given preference
Computer literacy and Microsoft Office Proficiency is a must, excel advantageous
Candidates with PLM experience will be given preference
The ability to multitask and be organized is essential to the role
Excel and Powerpoint proficiency would be beneficial
