Full Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail oriented and driven Accountant to join our amazing and fast growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements and supporting the company with accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports;

· Reconcile bank accounts, creditors, debtors, and general ledger accounts;

· Process journals and month-end procedures;

· Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting;

· Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and statutory requirements;

· Assist with audits and financial reviews;

· Monitor cash flow and financial transactions;

· Support management with financial reporting and analysis; and

· Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Specific candidate requirements:

o Must be able to work and perform without supervision;

o Motivated;

o Target driven;

o Excellent communication skills;

o Willing and fast learner;

o Always act in the best interest of the company;

o Presentable;

o Committed; and

o Punctual.

Minimum requirements:

· Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English (read, speak and write);

· Grade 12 (matric);

· Relevant qualification/degree in Accounting or Finance;

· Minimum of three (5) years’ proven experience in Accounting role;

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes;

· Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel;

· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;

· Strong communication and problem solving abilities; and

· Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Advantageous:

· Experience in the retail environment;

· Knowledge of South African labour and tax legislation; and

· Experience with payroll and stock control.

Pay: R20 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month

Education:

High School (matric) (Required)

Experience:

Accounting: 5 years (Required)

Language:

Afrikaans; English (Required)
