About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience. This role focuses on financial reporting, reconciliations, and support for month-end close processes. You will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Maintain records related to accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience in accounting or financial management.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) in progress or completed.
Experience with accounting systems such as Pastel, SAP, or similar.
Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience in a fast-paced environment or corporate finance setting.
