Key responsibilities:
Support Product Managers in the design, development, and enhancement of card products across their lifecycle, from concept through launch, optimisation and retirement.
Assist with product continuum and product lifecycle management, including market assessments, pricing considerations, feature enhancements and portfolio optimisation.
Conduct product economics and financial analysis, including cost, revenue, margin and profitability assessments to support informed product decisions.
Support the development of business cases for new card products, features, or enhancements by compiling data, analysing assumptions and evaluating financial impacts.
Analyse customer behaviour, usage trends and transaction data to identify opportunities for product improvements and growth within card solutions.
Assist with pricing analysis, fee structures and value propositions to ensure alignment with customer needs, competitive positioning, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. marketing, risk, operations, finance and technology) to support product delivery and implementation activities.
Contribute to the monitoring and reporting of product performance metrics, including volumes, revenue, cost drivers and customer uptake.
Support process documentation, product governance, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards.
Prepare presentations, dashboards and reports that communicate insights, product performance and recommendations to stakeholders.
Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the card product environment.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings and regulatory developments in card payments and consumer banking.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification (recently completed or completing in 2026):
BCom / BSc:
Mathematics
Econometrics
Statistics
Business / Finance
Postgraduate to be completed by 31 December 2026.
Additional Information
Minimum requirements:
Must be a South African citizen.
Should you have work experience, it should not exceed 12 months.
Matric certificate to be submitted with application.
Full academic transcripts to be submitted with application for undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
