Job Summary
The main focus will be to run a caseload of standard and defended debt claims for our UK Clients with the support of the management team. You will also further develop your knowledge in the field of landlord and tenant. You will required to run a caseload of standard possession and debt recovery claims and provide additional support for fee earners dealing with defended claims.
The successful candidate will be required to provide high quality legal advice in accordance with the service levels and standards Woodstock requires.
You will be required to demonstrate consistently within your role ensuring that you uphold Woodstock’s core values and culture.
Your team
In this position you will be working in our landlord and tenant and debt recovery team.
Responsibilities
-Run a caseload of landlord and tenant and debt recovery files, providing legal advice and support to clients prioritizing work as necessary
-Comply with any pre-approved SLAs in place with clients
-Take responsibility for your own learning and ensure you regularly read any relevant books/articles. Ensure personal development and CPD is kept up to date
-Review your billing target and work towards the target each month
-Review accounts on files and frequently ensure disbursements are billed/any outstanding invoices are chased
-Establish good working relationships with potential clients and nurture the relationships with existing clients.
-Keep management abreast of any new legislation or changes that may have implications for the possession department

- Previous experience running a high volume caseload
- Experience in landlord and tenant or debt recovery is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
