We are hiring for an Accounts Receivable Manager to support a complex finance environment where strong controls, disciplined reconciliations, reporting integrity, and process improvement are key.
This role is best suited to a senior finance professional with deep Accounts Receivable experience, strong reconciliation and financial control capability, and the confidence to bring structure to a high-pressure environment. The individual will not simply be maintaining existing monthly cycles but will be expected to identify improvement opportunities, strengthen controls, reduce manual dependencies, and support more sustainable ways of working.
You will work closely with billing, accounting, and downstream stakeholders to improve monthly close readiness, ensure alignment between sub-ledgers and the general ledger, and support stronger governance across the Accounts Receivable function.
We are looking for someone who can bring calm, structure, and accountability into a complex finance environment, while also being hands-on enough to get into the detail where needed.
Key Responsibilities and Output Areas Include
Accounts Receivable Leadership & Close Readiness

Lead Accounts Receivable monthly close readiness, including sub-ledger to general ledger alignment, reconciliations, and exception resolution.

Oversee corporate billing, unallocated receipts, reconciliations, credit exposure, and executive reporting for the segment.

Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and control across Accounts Receivable activities.
Governance, Controls & Auditability

Implement and strengthen governance across the Accounts Receivable function, including clear ownership, monthly cadence, and improved controls.

Establish stronger reporting integrity and disciplined reconciliation practices.

Improve auditability through better controls, accountability, and process discipline.
IFRS, Financial Controls & Stakeholder Engagement

Provide oversight of IFRS-related receivables impacts, including IFRS 9 journals, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Work closely with billing, accounting, and downstream stakeholders to resolve issues and improve ways of working.

Support finance teams by bringing structure and clarity to complex accounts receivable challenges.
Process Improvement & Knowledge Transfer

Identify opportunities to improve accounts receivable processes, including reducing manual dependencies, improving automation, reviewing tool changes, and strengthening system linkages.

Stabilise stressed finance processes and help embed stronger, more sustainable operating practices.

Enable knowledge transfer to internal teams to support long-term capability within the function.
Key Requirements

Strong experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial controls within complex environments.

Proven ability to stabilise stressed finance functions.

Hands-on experience with large ERP systems, with Oracle

Experience working with monthly close processes, sub-ledger to general ledger alignment, reconciliations, and exception management.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across billing, accounting, and broader finance teams.

Ability to identify practical process improvement opportunities across controls, reporting, automation, and system linkages.

CA(SA) is advantageous.

Telecommunications experience is advantageous.
Technical & Domain Knowledge

Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, reconciliations, billing, unallocated receipts, credit exposure, and financial controls.

Experience working with IFRS-related receivables impacts, including IFRS 9 journals.

Practical exposure to ERP-driven finance environments, ideally Oracle.

Strong control mindset, with the ability to improve auditability, governance, and reporting discipline.

Comfortable operating in a complex, high-volume finance environment where structure, accuracy, and delivery pace matter.
