Role Description
The purpose of the position is to install, commission, test and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems onsite.
Contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent, based on performance.
Requirements
· Qualified Electrician
· 2+ Years’ experience as an Electrician
· Trade Test/Red Seal Certificate advantageous
· Valid Driver’s License essential
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Perform general electrical maintenance
- Inspect circuit breakers and other electrical components
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or material to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
- Organising, planning and prioritizing work to developing specific goals and plans to accomplish your work
- Carry out all work in a safe manner both to colleagues and to the public through understanding, observance and application of Health and Safety requirements
- Install electricity meters – single and three phase
- Downloading readings from meters
- Meter programming, able to programme and retrieve data with electrical metering software
