Loss Controller
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as per KPA’s below
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Code EB driver’s license
- Computer literate, including SAP
Key Performance Areas
- Performs Loss Control functions to Urban Waste
Management by ensuring that losses are prevented,
limited, reduces and enhance Loss Control Systems.
- Investigate cases of misconducts; dishonesty; theft / loss;
fraud; misappropriation of the council assets; misuse of
abuse of the council resources and accidents
- Monitor compliance to risk management controls as well as
adherence to City of Cape Town policies and procedures
- Investigate all reported incidents of different nature within
Urban Waste Management as distributed by Professional
Officers of Loss Control
- Ensuring security companies comply with the site specifics
at all Urban Waste Management facilities
- Assessing, monitoring and ensuring compliance
- Ensuring compliance assessments are conducted in accordance
with all City of Cape Town internal procedures and policies.
- Liaising with internal city departments, Urban Waste Management
branches and external service providers and clients to address
operational issues relating to investigations and compliance
related matters
- Providing advice and carry out condemnations of inventory
items and consumables at UWM depots/facilities
