Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is looking for an experienced Maintenance Foreman to join a luxury hotel based in Sea Point. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel’s building systems, equipment, and facilities, ensuring everything is in excellent working condition. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills who can manage a team of technicians, meet deadlines efficiently, and handle daily operational tasks with precision.
Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of the hotel’s facilities to identify maintenance needs and areas for improvement.

Develop and manage daily and weekly maintenance schedules, assigning tasks to the team accordingly.

Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians to ensure high performance and quality work.

Oversee tradesmen, including electricians and plumbers, during installations, repairs, or routine maintenance.

Maintain and inspect building systems, such as heating, ventilation, and electrical systems, to ensure proper operation.

Assist in the development of the maintenance budget, ensuring spending remains within budget and operational goals are met.

Manage inventory and procurement of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.

Coordinate and oversee projects like renovations or larger repair tasks within the hotel.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, health and safety regulations, and hotel policies.
Requirements:

Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.

3-4 years of experience in a Foreman or Supervisor role, preferably within the hospitality or building maintenance industry.

Strong technical expertise across building systems, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

Experience in budgeting, planning, and performance management.
