Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Coordinate and execute the monthly performance reporting cycle, including the consolidation, validation, and analysis of operational and financial results across Mining, Processing, Joint Ventures, and Corporate functions.

Support the quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and business planning processes through the development, maintenance, and consolidation of planning assumptions, operational drivers, and financial inputs.

Prepare and analyse performance sales, inventory, cost, and cash flow reports, providing insights into key trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.

Manage the loading, validation, and reconciliation of actual and forecast data within planning and reporting systems, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of information.

Maintain and update key planning assumptions, including commodity prices, exchange rates, transfer pricing parameters, inflation indices, and other business drivers.

Perform reconciliations and support the calculation and reporting of unit costs, stock valuations, cost allocations, and other key performance metrics.

Support integrated planning activities by providing financial and operational analysis and ensuring alignment between business plans, forecasts, and performance outcomes.

Engage with operational, commercial, finance, marketing, and treasury stakeholders to provide timely reporting, analysis, and business support.

Identify and drive opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve planning, forecasting, reporting, and data management processes through digital solutions.

Translate complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations to support performance improvement and business value delivery.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Sciences, Analytics or other relevant qualifications
Experience:
-
5 years’ experience in performance reporting and analysis.
-
Experience in mining, processing, capital‑intensive or resource industries (advantageous)
Technical knowledge (experience) required for role:
-
Proficient skills in applying practical application of financial solutions and initiatives to improve business performance.

Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and performance management.

Strong understanding of Consolidated financial statements
-
Experience working with financial software solutions.
Technical Skills
-
Ability to synthesise complex and diverse data sets into clear, coherent narratives that provide meaningful insight and support effective decision‑making by senior stakeholders.

Excellent financial acumen
-
Experience in design and implementation of financial models including financial statement modelling.
-
Scenario analysis skills applicable to a performance reporting coupled with strong reconciliation, diagnostic and variance analysis capability.
-
High proficiency in financial models, planning systems and Excel‑based analytics.
-
Experience in Essbase and SAP (advantageous)
