Different Strokes Montessori is seeking a dedicated and creative Reggio Emilia Teacher to join our toddler program, starting in January 2025. Position Overview:
As a Reggio Emilia Teacher at Different Strokes Montessori, you will play a key role in creating a classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity in our youngest learners. Working with children aged 2-4, you will guide them through play-based learning activities that support their physical, social, and emotional development. This role is ideal for an educator who believes in child-led learning and values the role of creativity and collaboration in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Reggio Emilia-inspired activities that foster creativity, independence, and social skills in young children.
- Set up and maintain an engaging and safe classroom environment with carefully chosen materials that encourage exploration and inquiry.
- Observe, document, and reflect on each child’s development and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and caregivers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and learning journey.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment within the Montessori framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Certification or training in the Reggio Emilia approach is preferred.
- Previous experience working with toddlers, preferably in a Reggio Emilia or Montessori setting.
- A deep understanding of child development and an enthusiastic approach to fostering a child-led learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and nurturing demeanor.
