The AUDA-NEPAD invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the following position: Project Assistant - (PIFAH).
Under the supervision of the Programme Officer for the Programme on Investment and Financing of Africa’s Health (PIFAH), the Project Assistant will provide administrative support to PIFAH, which is embedded within the Implementation of the A2DSRH programme.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience in managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and event coordination.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.
- Technical competence and experience in development agencies, health systems, and administrative management.
- Proactive, able to work under minimal supervision, with sound judgment and initiative.
- Strong team player with the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
- High integrity, accountability, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and interact with diverse individuals and institutions.
- Experience in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.
- Experience with the AU or other international development organizations is an advantage.
- Knowledgeable in various research methodologies, including online and database research.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a High School Certificate and a College Diploma in Health Sciences, Health Economics, Finance, General Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in administrative or project support, including at least two (2) years in a Programme Assistant role in national, regional, international or multinational organisations.

Remuneration: Indicative basic salary of US$19,701.71 per annum plus other entitlements e.g., Post Adjustment (46% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($16,813.44 per annum), gratuity (15% of gross salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
