Cana Vineyard Guesthouse is looking for a Front of House / Hostess
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors restaurant activity.
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Address visitor questions and requests promptly, courteously, and efficiently
- Follow health and safety protocols to clean and sanitize service lines, beverage dispensers, and other equipment
- Always willing to help
- Make bookings and answer emails and other enquiries
- Follow all handovers through and make sure they have been done
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition. (radio, telephone, computer, internet, Wi-Fi and security systems)
- Make sure there is music playing
- Make sure that all charges have been accurately billed to each room
- Prepare guests’ bills for check-outs and check out the guests
- Ensure gratuities and sales, etc. are recorded accordingly
- Print the rooming list and check
- Assist guests with their requirements and requests
- Always be available at Reception to welcome and attend to guests
- Serve guests with food and drink orders while they are in the dining area and replenish as necessary
- Available to work shifts as required (morning/afternoon/evening shifts).
- Valid drivers licence with own transportation to & from work before & after shifts.
- Oversee the setup and take down of the breakfast buffet, as well as maintain the dining space, ensure food is available, responsible for the breakfast served to guests and provide any other guest services.
- Clean the breakfast area, including the tables, chairs, and buffet bar as needed, and empty garbage
- Remove plates and dishes from tables throughout the breakfast service

Job Types: Temporary, Contract
Pay: R5 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month

- Paarl, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
Experience:
- Hospitality: 2 years (Preferred)
