About the role
Matukane Investment Holdings is looking for an experienced Construction Manager / Site Agent to join a building project in Cape Town. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate teams and suppliers, and keep the project on programme, on quality and on budget.
Minimum requirements
- Diploma, BTech, or BSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or another built-environment related qualification
- Minimum 6 years' experience in construction site management or a similar role
- Experience managing subcontractors, labour, suppliers, site progress and daily operations
- Ability to read drawings, understand specifications and manage site instructions
- Strong knowledge of quality control, health and safety, and programme management
- Good communication, leadership and reporting skills
- Valid driver's licence will be an advantage
- Cape Town-based candidates will be preferred
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Monitor programme, quality, safety and productivity
- Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications and deadlines
- Prepare daily / weekly progress updates for management
- Assist with resolving site issues and maintaining project momentum
Pay: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
