ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the setup and configuration of PCs, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and smooth operation of LAN and WAN systems.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft 365 applications, including troubleshooting issues related to Office Suite tools, ERP systems, and other software.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Administer and support SharePoint sites, including site creation, management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot network issues, including connectivity problems, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations.
- Conduct regular backups, ensure data integrity, and implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT manager to resolve complex technical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Provide training and technical guidance to end-users on various IT tools and applications.
- Create and maintain a knowledge base applicable to all sites supported by the IT department.
- Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in IT technology and propose enhancements to optimize system performance.
EDUCATION
- Grade 12.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT technical support.
- Proven experience with SharePoint administration, including site creation, management, and troubleshooting.
SKILLS
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Full MS Office suite at intermediate level.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional after-hours work may be required for system updates or troubleshooting.
